AIR Reservations system

This is the master reservation switch. When the system is on, AIR can keep the reservation book, staff-entered reservations, Joe phone bookings, and operational pause controls active. Website booking is a separate guest-facing channel.

Staff and Joe can use the reservation book. Guests cannot book from the website until website booking is turned on.

Day 1 operational

Take reservations now. Optimize pacing as real guests arrive.

AIR Reservations are live when the system is enabled. Website booking is a separate channel you can turn on here when guests should be allowed to reserve online.

Start on day 1

  • Use the book for staff-entered reservations and phone requests.
  • Run the walk-in waitlist during service.
  • Let servers add reservations or waitlist entries from the PWA.

Becomes useful when

  • Week one tunes party-size rules, pacing, and waitlist handoffs.
  • Day-30 reporting shows covers by daypart, no-shows, and wait times.
  • Google/website booking paths can be promoted once the flow is tested.

What AIR tracks

  • Reservations created by staff, website, or Joe
  • Waitlist joins, quoted waits, and seated guests
  • Seated guests, party sizes, and pacing patterns
  • No-shows, cancellations, and daypart demand
